while reading Persepolis, i found a interesting panel from page 31 when a widow's husband died of cancer, but the people who were caring the cadaver in the demonstrate said the "young man [was] killed by the army" nobody cared what the widow said and a man said "no problem, he's a hero." so "the widow started demonstrating with them" i think it is a weird but funny and ironic panel because the widow knows that her husband died of cancer, but for some reason, the influence of the demonstrate made her believe that her husband was killed by the army.

ReplyDeleteI think that those few panels on pg. 31 represent woman minority and how the men don't care what happened to the husband, therefore the woman has no other choice then to go with the demonstrators.
